Founder and President
TAMERA GREEN

 A respected industry veteran with more than two decades of marketing experience, Tamera Green founded Viridian Marketing in May 2012 following a successful career developing innovative partnership marketing programs for numerous Fortune 500 companies.

With Green at the helm, Viridian Marketing developed and led the strategy and activation plan for Sysco Corporation’s first-ever, multi-faceted marketing campaign. Green and her team designed an innovative partnership between Sysco, a Fortune 75 company with more than $42 billion in sales, the Food Network and celebrity chef Robert Irvine.

Viridian collaborated with Front Porch Ice Cream and its agency of record, Concentric Marketing, to create a brand connection that reinforced the company’s authentic Carolinas identity. Green utilized her expertise and industry connections to align the brand with nationally known North Carolina icons – NASCAR champion Dale Jarrett, his father Ned, and Pinehurst Resort – as well as the PGA’s prestigious U.S. Open Championship.

Prior to Viridian, Green worked at world-class sports marketing agencies including GMR, IMG Consulting and Muhleman Marketing, Inc. During her career at these agencies, Green led Coca-Cola’s sports initiatives including the introduction of the popular Coca-Cola Racing Family program and the development of a multi-million dollar NASCAR marketing campaign for the Food Lion supermarket chain. She also brokered the deal for Allstate Insurance to become the first-ever title sponsor of a race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

In addition, her executive responsibilities extended to supervising several top clients including Bank of America, Best Buy, ChevronTexaco, Cintas, Comcast, Gillette, Hasbro, HBO, Outback Steakhouse, SPEED TV and VISA.

While with Muhleman Marketing, Inc., she was instrumental in the effort to bring the Carolina Panthers franchise to Charlotte, helping to implement the Permanent Seat License program that aided in securing the franchise. She has subsequently been involved in a variety of stadium projects including the Chicago Bears, Tennessee Titans, Baltimore Ravens and other NFL teams.

Several industry publications have recognized Green for her exemplary work and leadership in the field. She was part of the inaugural group of professionals recognized as a “Game Changer” in sports marketing by the Sports Business Journal, and received the honor of being named a Charlotte Business Journal “40 under 40” Business Leader and 2010 Woman Extraordinaire by Business Leader Media.

A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in journalism, Green also earned an MBA from Queens University of Charlotte.

She is committed to being a mentor and leader in her field through teaching and speaking opportunities. She taught “The Art of Presentation” at the University of South Carolina and is a guest speaker by invitation at several other universities and community organizations throughout the year.

Tamera lives in Charlotte with her husband Ron, a golf writer for Global Golf Post, and their daughter, Molly.

DOCKERY CLARK

Dockery Clark is a veteran brand marketer and experienced team leader.  She has developed and implemented marketing strategies for a diverse set of organizations including consumer packaged juggernaut MillerCoors, Fortune 25 financial services company, Bank of America, sports franchises, agencies and non-profits

Clark was a Senior Brand Director at MillerCoors in Chicago where she led retail activation and experiential marketing strategies for the MillerCoors brand portfolio around sports, entertainment and music. As one of the top five most active sponsors in the country, Clark managed MillerCoors platforms that included the NFL and NASCAR (Coors Light), Team Penske (Miller Lite), the World Series of Poker (Milwaukee’s Best), Fashion Week (Peroni), the Ultimate Fighting Championships (Mickey’s) and more than 100 local market professional and collegiate sports franchises.

From 1993-2004, Clark served as the Senior Vice President and Global Sponsorship Executive for Bank of America, the largest bank in the United States. During that time, Bank of America grew from a small regional bank into the first coast to coast banking franchise. Partnerships that Clark negotiated and was responsible for included the Olympics, naming rights of the Carolina Panthers Stadium, the PGA Tour, MLB and numerous local market pro & collegiate sports, arts and entertainment events.

Clark has also served on the property side as CMO for the Professional Bull Riders and demonstrated her leadership acumen as Chief of Staff for the Committee for Charlotte 2012 Democratic National Convention. Clark was a Founding & Managing Partner of BlueCap Marketing, a Charlotte, NC, brand marketing firm focused on sports, entertainment and event-based activation strategies.

In 2003, Clark was named as one of the Top 10 Newsmakers by the Charlotte Business Journal as well as one of their Top 25 Women in Business Achievement Award recipients.  Clark was also named by Women in Sports and Events (WISE) as one of its three 2003 Women of the Year.  Sports Illustrated named her one of the top 5 women in golf. Other accolades include being named to the Sports Business Journal’s Top 40 under 40 list as well as their Top 25 Women in Sports list.

Clark received a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She currently serves as faculty director for Wake Forest’s summer immersion sports marketing program. She also serves on the Board of Visitors for UNC-Chapel Hill, on the board of the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority and the board of her childhood camp, Camp Merrie-Woode in Sapphire, NC. Clark also she serves as Executive Director of Charlotte Wine & Food Weekend.
